Institut Terezínské iniciativy
Terezín Initiative
The Terezín Initiative is an international association of former Jewish prisoners from the Czech lands who were deported to Terezín, other ghettos and concentration camps, and their direct descendants. Currently, the Terezín Initiative has about 300 members in the Czech Republic (of which about 140 are former prisoners, the so-called "first generation") and less than 50 members abroad.
In order to document and research the history of the Terezín Ghetto and the Shoah in the Czech lands, the Terezín Initiative founded the Terezín Initiative Institute in 1993.
